Howard M. Small - Administrator
Mr. Small has worked in an administrative capacity in the field of long-term, sub-acute and short-term care for over 35 years. He has been licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in New York State since 1974 and is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators. Mr. Small's mission is to ensure that the residents and patients under his care receive the highest possible level of quality care and services in a secure and comfortable environment.

Suzanne Hogan - Assistant Administrator
Suzanne is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and comes to Shore View Nursing Home with more than 20 years experience in long term care. In addition to geriatrics, she has worked extensively with adults with special needs and is always available to work with both residents and their families to answer questions or address their concerns with regard to nursing home placement.

Elliot Schwartz, M.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Schwartz has been a Medical Director in long term care for over 13 years. He is trained in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He has always enjoyed working with seniors and is committed to ensuring that quality medical care is provided to our residents.

Joy Bautista, RN - Director of Nursing
Mrs. Bautista has worked in the long term care field for over 25 years. She is experienced in all aspects of long term care and began as a staff nurse, working her way up to the position of Director of Nursing. Her goal is to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of life up to the last minute of their lives. She always tells her staff: "Treat your residents the way you want to be treated - with respect and with dignity. Do your best - ALWAYS."

Assad M. Nasr - Director of Rehabilitation Services
Mr. Nasr has over 15 years experience in the physical therapy field, including long-term, sub-acute, outpatient and home care interventions. Helping the geriatric population has been his primary passion throughout this time. It is Mr. Nasr's goal to ensure that all residents who require rehab interventions receive the best possible care in order to maximize their potential and independence and to achieve their personal goals.

Flora Cherni, MSW - Director of Social Services
Flora has been working in the Social Services field for over 25 years. A graduate of Yeshiva University, she has experience in both community and clinical social work. Flora has been on staff at Shore View Nursing Home since 2000. Fluent in both English and Russian, her goals at Shore View are to help each resident adjust to nursing home placement and to act as a mediator, advocate and counselor to all residents and family members.

Fran Brivic - Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Volunteer Services
Ms. Brivic has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Art and a Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy. Her experience includes work with psychiatric adults and children, in schools, and twenty years with the geriatric population. She has been a recreation director for sixteen years and continues to be inspired by the challenges of her job. Meeting the individual needs of every resident is not an easy task, but it allows her to use her creativity, sense-of-humor and people skills to provide laughter and joy in the hearts of the residents.

Inna Tsinker - Director of Nutritional Services
Mr. Tinker is part of the Food and Nutrition Department at Shore View. She chose the dietary field because she likes to deal with the clinical aspects of the profession, as well as the real food preparation. Inna is fluent in English and Russian, and enjoys working with all of our residents.

Jennifer M. Nelson - Food Service Director
Ms. Nelson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Foods and Health. She brings a variety of experience from both private and public institutions. Her special interests are occasion planning, gardening and ethnic cuisine.

Marilyn Rosen - Business Manager
As an employee at Shore View for 36 years, Marilyn has come to respectfully understand the needs of the elderly, especially in long-term care. Although the nature of her position is to oversee all the responsibilities of the Business Office, it is her goal to ensure that all financial matters regarding our residents are handled at an optimum level.

Charles Sampson - Director of Housekeeping Services
Mr. Charles Sampson has been the Director of Housekeeping Services at Shore View since 1987. He is certified Executive Housekeeper and has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. Mr. Sampson became a member of the International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc. in 1991, and is currently the President of the New York Chapter.

Mark Szynwald - Director of Maintenance
Mr. Szynwald is a Merchant Marine school graduate with a degree in Engineering. Mark has 14 years of experience working in the health care industry and his job is to provide our residents with a safe environment.
